Thistle Flower FRAMED - woodblock print (8x8")

"Thistle Flower" is a prickly flower made of little purple spiny petals and a green bulbous base. I love the combination of the harsh spikes but the pretty flower it produces for more gentle critters like butterflies and bees.

Printed on white thick cotton paper with wonderful light purple and green inks from a hand carved Shina wood block sourced from a sustainable forest in Hokkaido, Japan. Title, artist signature, edition number, and year of production appear on front of each print and on the back of each frame.
